Inspired by my studies!

Chi lo dice che studio e moda non vanno d'accordo? Oggi mentre studiavo Storia del teatro mi è venuta un'illuminazione! Pensavo a come ci sentiamo evoluti rispetto al passato quando in realtà continuiamo a riproporne stili di vita, culture, e soprattutto la moda! Trovo così affascinante che i più grandi stilisti di oggi traggano ispirazione da popoli vissuti secoli fa!Mi fa pensare che il concetto di evoluzione in alcuni campi è relativo!Perciò mentre tentavo di cogliere la differenza tra il teatro greco e quello romano, immaginavo donne bellissime indossare splendidi vestiti di stoffe colorate e pregiate, cosparse di olio di rose e agghindate con capolavori dell'oreficeria. E ovviamente ho pensato: perchè non fare un post? Perciò buon viaggio a ritroso nel tempo mie care bloggers! E non disperate..non serve avere la macchina del tempo!
Who said that studies don't get on with and fashion? Today, when I was studing History of the Theatre, I had a flash of inspiration! I was thinking about how we feel us advanced compared to the past when actually we continue to pose life styles, cultures and above all fashion again! It makes me think that the concept of evolution, in some fields, is relative! So that, when I was trying to understand the difference between Ancient Greek Theatre and Ancient Roman Theatre, I imagined beautiful women wearing wonderful dresses made of colourful and valuable materials, sprinkled with roses oil and all dolled up with goldsmith masterpieces. And, obviously I thought: why not to make a post? So good travel back to the past my dear bloggers! And don't be afraid..you don't need the time machine!

Factory girl inspiration!

Film uscito nel 2006, racconta la vita di Edie Sedgwick, attrice e modella della factory di Andy Warhol, divenuta l'icona pop degli anni Sessanta.
La scelta di Sienna Miller nel ruolo di Edie è, a mio parere, perfetta! Adoro il modo in cui interpreta il personaggio e credo che impersoni alla perfezione lo stile sixties!
Maxi orecchini a lampadario, pellicciotte leopardate, mini dresses e stivaloni neri. E l'immancabile trucco che vede l'eye-liner indispensabile per mettere in risalto lo sguardo e dare subito un'aria rock. Pensate che Edie si applicava anche  tre strati di ciglia finte! Un look giocato sicuramente sui contrasti.
Io lo trovo fantastico..e inutile dire che Factory Girl è uno dei miei film preferiti!

The choice of Sienna Miller in the role of Edie is, in my opinion, perfect! I love how she plays the character and I think that she embody perfectly the sixsties style!
Maxi chandelier earrings, leopard furs, mini dresses and high black boots. And the unfailing make up that sees the eye-liner indispensable for bringing out the look and giving immediately a rock air. Do you know that Edie applied even three sets of false eyelashes? A look based certainly on contrasts.
I think it's a fantastic style..and needless to say that is one of my favourite film!
